6 Tips for a Meow Wolf Date Day
1. Book & Arrive Early
We all love a good spontaneous outing, but this is a popular place. So, just book ahead to make sure your Meow Wolf date day goes as planned. You can buy tickets 30 days before arrival.
It is also important to get there early. They suggest 5-10 minutes before your time slot. But you can’t get in line more than 15 minutes early.
2. Give Yourself Plenty of Time
When booking, keep in mind that you will likely want to spend at least three hours there. If going on a weekend or holiday, it will be busier inside – making it take a little longer to go through.
Make sure you walk through every single room, try to find all the hidden passageways, and read everything you can. There are fun little details hidden everywhere! Try competing to make your Meow Wolf date day a fun scavenger hunt of who can find the most hidden clues.
You’ll probably also want some time to just sit down and take it all in. Don’t be surprised if your brain feels like it is spinning. This place is complete sensory overload!
3. Go a Little Extra
Chromadepth Glasses, Sensory Bags, an Audio Tour, and Anomaly Tracker App options are all ways to boost your experience. However, walking through without these extras is still a blast, you may want to splurge on a few of these unique extras during your trip. Don’t forget to save some funds for their ridiculously fun gift store as well!
And if you really want an extra-special experience, consider adding one of their unique events onto your list as well to extend your date day into a date night.
4. Charge Your Phone & Bring More Power
You are probably going to be taking nonstop photos and videos just to reflect on later and confirm this place was indeed real and not a dream. With how long you’ll likely be lost wandering around during your Meow Wolf date day, you’ll want to be sure to bring an extra portable charger along as well.
5. Don’t Forget to Eat (& Drink)
Like on any fun-filled day, it can be easy to forget to eat altogether. Luckily, Meow Wolf Santa Fe usually has food trucks in the parking lot most days and the drinks-only ‘Float Cafe & Bar‘ on site. At the cafe, you can try unique concoctions like purple white chocolate cocoa topped with edible glitter or absinthe poured through a cotton candy cloud.
But there are also tons of options nearby. You’re in Santa Fe, after all! We suggest having a big meal before, then finishing up your visit with a fancy, colorful drink.
6. Play, Interact, Explore!
Going to Meow Wolf and just walking through without engaging in the magical environment is like going to Disney and not riding a single ride. Use this opportunity to connect with your date in a fun, child-like way.
Touch every wall, open every door, look up and down and under. You never know what special little surprise you may find.
Whether this is a first date, 200th date, or a spontaneous stop, you and your significant other will be talking about this epic other-worldly date for years to come.
